Heidi Klum born Bergisch Gladbach Germany 1st June 1973. Erna Klum was her hairdresser's mother. Gunther Klim, her father was the executive of a cosmetics firm. Heidi's father had earlier been an executive in charge of production for the perfume maker 4711. Born in Bergisch Gladbach (a city of approximately 100,000 people, located six miles from Cologne), Heidi was raised there. German-American former fashion model, present host of a television show, businesswoman and designer. The German women's newspaper Petra was the sponsor of the show that was part of Thomas Gottschalk's late-night talkshow. Klum was competing against thousands of other contestants across Germany as well as Europe and Europe, before she made it to the semifinals. In April of 1992, she took home the top prize of $300,000.
